Parents of Murdered Children (POMC) is a
national organization founded in 1978 by Charlotte and Bob Hullinger
in Cincinnati, Ohio after the murder of their daughter, Lisa. POMC
is made up of many local area chapters across the country and provides
emotional support, education, information, advocacy and awareness
to friends and family members of homicide victims.
A support network is a key element to surviving a tragedy,
so our local chapter of POMC is here to help you. Membership
in POMC is
open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one to
homicide. Professionals working with bereaved families are
The Southeast Minnesota Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children
meets monthly for members to cope with their grief and the
criminal justice system. Members of POMC can freely and safely
feelings, emotions and experiences with other members who
have shared the same experiences.
