Our Mission
The mission of Parents of Murdered Children (POMC) is to make the difference through on-going emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy and awareness.

POMC chapters hold monthly support meetings and provide education and advocacy for homicide survivors. POMC also provides someone to accompany survivors to court trials. Survivors are offered emotional support, understanding and advocacy. They may receive compassion, comfort and crisis intervention, if needed.

POMC Chapter Meetings
POMC chapter meetings provide a safe place for survivors to express their feelings and share their experiences with others who have been through the same experiences. Members are given support through all phases of their tragedy: shock, trauma, grief, loss, criminal justice system, etc.

Second Opinion Services
Second Opinion Services is a program offered by POMC to provide second opinions on unsolved or complicated cases. It is made up of various experts who review cases and medical, law enforcement and investigative reports. Members may utilize the Second Opinion Services to help in answering questions or unsolved aspects of their cases.

POMC publishes a newsletter and hosts an annual National Conference. Training and consulting is available for professionals who work with survivors of homicide and are interested in learning more about the devastating effects of murder.
